  • a general term used to refer to a common set of cultural values, interests or experiences of all non-white people.

  • Non-Black people whose physical characteristic are recognized as non-white by white people and/or within white communities.

  • a term that broadly defines those negatively impacted by white people / white communities through a global legacy of erasure and centering white identity.

  • an acronym that unites or assumes a shared identity, belief system, values and/or experiences resulting from a person’s / group’s visibility (non-whiteness) within systems founded on white supremacy, rather than that person / group’s specific experiences such as: family history, culture, values and access to equity within systems founded on white supremacy.
