Norma is a skateboarder, mountain biker, photographer, gardener, and social media marketer, all rolled into one. Originally from Mexico, she is committed to documenting skaters and shedding light on lesser-known communities around the world. For this project, Norma created a photo book focused on the (women’s / girl’s) skate scene in Mexico.

With this book, Norma wants to remind everyone that no matter your culture, identity, abilities, gender, or preferences, skateboarding is “FOR YOU” — “PARA TI.” Norma hopes this book will inspire more people to get on a skateboard, to shoot photos and videos, to document their community, and most importantly, to uplift their communities to create a more inclusive and safe space for everyone.
