Course Overview
Participants will learn tools to purposefully select diverse and inclusive Pre-K to 12 literature.
Creating a safe space for children & youth
Use stories as tools that build cultural & community trust through addressing chronically overlooked topics, including:
empathy & compassion
diversity & inclusion
social justice & equity for marginalized communities
mental wellness / mental health
anti-racism education
decolonization & reconciliation
